BizCover, an online business insurance platform, has expanded its professional indemnity (PI) insurance offerings through a new distribution agreement with Zurich Australia.
This partnership enables small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with annual revenues under $7.5 million to access Zurich's PI insurance directly via the BizCover website, with coverage limits of up to $10 million.

Effective from 3 March 2026, the agreement provides BizCover customers with benefits such as retroactive cover agreed in advance, worldwide coverage excluding North America, and legal defence costs in the event of a claim. Michael Gottlieb, CEO of BizCover, emphasised that collaborating with a reputable insurer like Zurich underscores the platform's commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience built on trust and clarity.

Alex Morgan, Head of General Insurance at Zurich, highlighted that the partnership would broaden access to Zurich's underwriting expertise among Australia's small business community. By integrating Zurich's PI products into BizCover's platform, SMEs can more easily obtain comprehensive coverage tailored to their specific needs.

For Australian SMEs, this collaboration offers a streamlined process to secure professional indemnity insurance, ensuring they are adequately protected against potential liabilities. The partnership reflects a growing trend of leveraging digital platforms to enhance accessibility and convenience in the insurance sector.

For SMEs operating close to, or above, that threshold, the change adds another layer to an already complex risk environment. - read more
